Mike is a relative "newcomer" to Yachats, but no newcomer to the Oregon Coast. He is a native, born to parents who graduated from Siuslaw High School. His Grandparents started the first phone service in Florence. Later his Dad worked for the lumberyard in Waldport after the war. Mike spent his early years traveling from the valley to the coast. " I have a real passion for "beachcombing" inherited from my mother and grandmother, it always feels like home to me to be on the beach!" Mike like his wife Wendy loves whitewater rafting, flyfishing, hunting and training his German Shorthaired Pointer. Mike's association with real estate goes back a long ways. "I started taking classes in Real Estate in the early seventies when I was building houses and used the knowledge to buy and sell my own investments, that kind of grew into a full time job. I'm learning more each day about the uniqueness of this market. I have over 11 years of sales experience in the Valley and have earned a great reputation with my peers and clients." Mike is a GRI and a member of the "Realtor's Land Institute" which specializes in commercial properties and land. Wendy has been a top seller for several years producing over $5,000,000.00 in gross sales for the 2001 year and Top Poducer for her previous office. Her genuine interest in people has built her a great reputation and many lasting friendships with satisfied customers. Testomony to this is the number of referrals she gets from past clients! Wendy has been a resident of Yachats since 1986 and has been very active in the community and Church. One year she was co-chair of the annual "Smelt Fry" held each July. Her hobies include beachcombing, exercising, walking in the woods, gardening, mushrooming, cooking "whitewater rafting" and just "watching the always changing sea the from her home".
